Mary Jackson (1921-2005), American mathematician and aerospace engineer who in 1958 became the first African American female engineer to work at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Jackson was featured, along with Katherine Johnson and Dorothy Vaughn, as one of the "human computers" in the film Hidden Figures.
