The concrete is four inches thick,with wire reinforcements both ways and with tongue and groove piling atthe bottom and a key of concrete eight inches deep the whole length ofthe levee that helps to keep the great slab from sliding. Wooden strip>are set in at intervals to allow for expansion during hoi weather. Theconcrete extends six feet above high water mark and the earthen leveegoes on up several feet higher. Califo San Francisco Architectural Clubs Annual a Success ONE of the most successful entertainments ever given by the San FranciscoArchitectural Club was held on the evening of December 7th, at theScottish Rite Auditorium. At the close of the musical and literaryprogram dancing was enjoyed until a late hour.
