A witch is a person, usually a woman, who professes or is supposed to practice magic, especially black magic or the black art. Ulrich Molitor (1442 - 1507) was a legal scholar. He wrote an early treatise on witchcraft, De Lamiis et Pythonicis Mulieribus (Of Witches and Diviner Women), published in 1489.
