Detroit, Michigan USA - High school students, members of the FFA agricultural education organization, join volunteers planting 5,000 tulip poplar trees. The planting was part of Hantz Woodlands' plan to develop a 150-acre urban tree farm on vacant land. Detroit has lost nearly two-thirds of its population since 1950, leaving thousands of acres open for urban agriculture.
