Red Tortoise Cake or 'Ang Ku Kueh' is a small round or oval-shaped Chinese pastry with soft, sticky glutinous rice flour skin wrapped around a sweet central filling, steamed on a piece of banana leaf. Considered to be auspicious, it is especially prepared during important festivals such as Chinese New Year.
