Welsh rental company RRC Crane Hire has purchased a 230 tonne Liebherr All Terrain, the company’s first Liebherr crane. The five-axle LTM is equipped with an eight section 75 metre main boom, topped by an to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension that can be offset by up to 40 degrees. Up to three, seven metre inserts can also be added between the boom nose and swingaway to give a maximum tip height of 113 metres (with the main boom extended to 68 metres). The new crane RRC’s includes Vario Ballast variable counterweight, Vario Base Plus outrigger set up and monitoring and full remote control of crane operations. The single engined crane can carry 22 tonnes of its 72 tonnes maximum in the UK with a maximum counterweight of 72 tonnes.
