CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – In the Vehicle Assembly Building at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida, a worker on an access platform in High Bay 1 is spotter for space shuttle Atlantis as the crawler-transporter prepares to carry it to Launch Pad 39A. First motion out of the bay was at 6:38 EDT Oct. 14. The trip, known as rollout, is expected to take about six hours. Liftoff of Atlantis on its STS-129 mission to the International Space Station is targeted for Nov. 12.
