Anthrax bacteria culture. Petri dish containing phenylethyl alcohol agar (PEA), which has been inoculated with Gram-positive, Pasteur strain, Bacillus anthracis bacteria. B. anthracis is the pathogen responsible for causing anthrax. This was the appearance of the growth after 24 hours of incubation at 37 degrees Celsius.
