A female common frog Rana temporaria in a freshwater wildlife pond
This Common Frog Rana temporaria was photographed in a wildlife garden pond. Frogs will frequent any body of water big or small. In early spring many frogs will gather in garden ponds to mate. The female croaks loudly to attract a male this can be heard early in the morning or late at night.
