He is a sonof Bernard and Bernadina (Schulte) Heithaus,natives of Germany. The father was engaa;iHlIn the shoe business in Cincinnati, where he lo-cated on coming to this country from Ger-many. William Heithaus learned the trade ofa tailor, which he followed as journeyman fora number of years. In 1901 he located inBushnell, where he carries on a thriving andup-to-date tailoring establishment in the FirstNational Bank .nex.
