Eidfjord is a small town in Hardanger District, on the west coast of Norway. It is situated at the end of the Eidfjorden, an inner branch of the large Hardangerfjorden, and is a common stopping place for scenic cruises. The steep sides of its fjord, shown here, show ample evidence of glacial abrasion and rock carving during recent Ice Ages. To give an idea of scale, note the two tiny people in the foreground. The cliff itself is far further away!
