Wearing wireless headsets, hundreds of visitors watch "test pattern (times square)" by the artist Ryoji Ikeda while listening to the artist's composed soundtrack just before midnight on Thursday, October 16, 2014. As part of the "Midnight Moment" the artist has taken over multiple screens in Times Square from 11:57 PM to midnight with his flickering images. A monthly event the Midnight Moment invites daily three minute performances from artists every month. This is the first time sound has been incorporated into a viewing. (© Richard B. Levine)
