Mr. Moffatthad a large field in which to labor, and laid the foundation for thePresbyterian churches at West Brant, Hanover, Malcolm and WestBentinck. His stipend from all the various charges during severalyears was but $4;00 per annum. The first church at Maleolm wasa building of logs erected late in the fifties.
