The Church is on the site of a much older monastery & college called a clas founded by Beuno in around 630 AD. His tomb is in a chapel adjoining the church. The church is a traditional stopping place for pilgrims on their way from Caernarfon to Bardsey Island. Perpendicular Gothic architecture.
