Kolkata, India. 26th Oct, 2017. For early morning puja people used to stay near by the ghats with their new born babies with all the offerings with diyas for puja purpose. The four-day Chhath festival began today, with the ghats in Kolkata being decked up for devotees. Celebrated from the sixth day (hence called ‘Chhath') after Diwali, it is celebrated to pay obeisance to the Sun as cosmic energy.
