A saddle cloth for officers of the field artillery Circa 1900. Fine dark green wool felt trimmed with a red border, red piping, surrounding gold braid and two gold stars. Stars of gilt brass, pin-fastened medallions with crowns on red felt, eight soldered eyelets around the perimeter at reverse on each side, diameter of each 12 cm. The underside with coarse black cotton cloth in herringbone pattern (minimally damaged, small old repair). Only slight signs of age and wear.
