Chris Cavendish is the owner of Fish Bowl Farm, one of the farms that has been protected by The Maine Farmland Trust. This young farmer provides organic produce for Portland Maine and surrounding area farmers markets and upscale restaurants. The Maine Farmland Trust is helping multi-generation farms to continue to thrive as well as helping young farmers to get into the business of farming. This process of preserving valuable farmland from being developed is not only keeping the agricultural culture of Maine alive, it is also providing healthy, often organic, locally grown foods for Maine people.
