When matured sad dried the large beans are excellent for baking. Ready for the table as a snap bean in about 60 days, and as a shell bean about 10 days later. At all stages the pod is stringless and tender. Pods are large, broad, long and golden-yellow, splashed with carmine, and seed is large kidney-shaped, buff colored, and mottled. The plants are of strong, upright growth, and are completely covered with large pods, many of which contain four beans fully as large as those of the pole limas. The beans are flat and broad and pronounced by many as being superior in flavor to the round, thick-seeded varieties. On account of its unusual earliness, Wonder Bush Lima can be planted well on in the season with- out much risk of failure.
