Russell roses, and he states that 10 or 12 houses 29x285 feet •will be devoted to this variety next season and will replace a good share of the American Beauty, Killar- ney and other roses now being grown at this establishment. He is picking the new rose Ophelia as a winner and says that this variety will also be grown heavily in the future. Felix Reichling, who looks after affairs at the Reinberg store, reports a good Thanksgiving trade. At Erne & Klingel's store every- thing is going along lovely and Char- lie and Freddie are busy getting things in shape for the Christmas rush. Some fine roses are now seen at this store, especially Richmond, which are now the call. The Thanksgiving trade was very good at this house, and while it was not up to last year the proprietors are well satisfied. C. L. Washburn reports that Bassett & Washburn's books show that their Thanksgiving trade in 1914 was 10 per cent better than last year, which was doing exceptionally well. This- firm is cutting some magnificent American Beauty roses and carnations noV and among the latter are noted a large sup- ply of the new red variety. Belle Washburn. A. E. Turner, of Rosen & Turner, Mosinee, Wis., will be here this week with a couple of carloads of Christmas trees in all the desirable sizes ranging from the baby size to nine feet and will make his headquarters at the Frank Floral Co.'s, wholesale store at the corner of Lake street and North Wabash avenue. Joseph Ziska has added a new Ford delivery car to its delivery system, which is in charge of his son Ray- mond, and deliveries are now being made to all sections of the city. The machin
