On Saturday afternoon, BBC CBeebies favourite Twirlywoos dropped in to take part in a range of exciting exploration activities and meet families camping out at the nature reserve for RSPB's Big Wild Sleepout. Activities captured include pond dipping, bug hunting, bird watching. The BWS aims to connect families closer to nature by allowing them to camp at the reserve for the 29 - 30 July. BWS is in its fifth year and sees thousands of children and their families pitching their tents and rolling out their sleeping bags to get closer to nature and discover which night time creatures they have on their own doorstep by sleeping out in their gardens or outdoor spaces. The Twirlywoo characters featured are Great BigHoo [large blu ] , Toodloo, [ large red] Chickedy [pink ] and Chick[ blue] . They are four bird-like friends who have sailed from far away on their Big Red Boat to visit our world for lots of silly fun and surprises.
