The demand for the dried product is increasing from year to year. The varieties which follow have been thoroughly tested and found valuable for planting in California, and we do not hesitate in recommending them to our Stanwick AHvJinf*P While the Advance is not as extensively planted as some other V dll^t nectarines, it is nevertheless a good early variety and is always in demand on the market. The fruit is large and rather oval in shape with a greenish colored skin, nearly covered with a very dark red when ripe. Flesh is of a greenish white color and of high flavor. Its time of ripening is about the middle of July. To anyone desiring an early nectarine the Advance is well recommended. Rfwton The Boston nectarine is a seedling originated from a peach seed ±>UolUll planted by Mr. T. Lewis of Boston, Mass., and while not as highly flavored as some of the other varieties it is considered to be of excellent quality. The tree is hardy and a heavy producer. The fruit is of oval shape and very attractive in appearance. Skin is a deep yellow color slightly mottled red with a crimson cheek. Flesh is yellow to the pit, juicy and of pleasing flavor. Ripens late July. PftWPr This is one of the earliest red nectarines, and is excellent for VTUWCI shipping as well as drying. The tree is a strong, thrifty grower and a heavy bearer.
