Followed by a most jolting rumor—77thDiv. Army of Occui)ation. But as there is an end to most things, so our timecame. The guns, tractors and other material were tobe turned in. Everybody on the job, clean up the junkand off to Latrecy. We must have done good work for the Chief In-spector of Artillery complimented the regiment sayingthat, in seventeen years of his experience as chief in-spector, he had never seen turned in material in asgood condition as ours was.
