A fine pair of long silver-mounted flintlock pistols, Johann Jacob Kuchenreuter, circa 1730/40. Blued barrels with smooth bores in 12 mm calibre, the signature, "Ioh. Iac. Kuchenreuter fecit" engraved on the barrel ribs, and finely cut, gold backed decoration on the breeches showing a standing warrior above acanthus leaves. Three gold-filled marks at the barrel roots. Gilt two-leaf folding rear sights, numbered "1" and "2" respectively. Finely cut locks with the lock plates displaying hunting scenes in relief. Single set triggers.
