A general view of yachts competing in the 87th annual Round The Island Race as they pass The Needles rocks and lighthouse. The world famous event saw some 12,000 competitors undertake the 50 nautical mile circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight off the south coast of the UK. Light winds on the day meant a slow rounding with the first boat across the line, the MOD70 foiling trimaran Concise Fling with Ned Collier Wakefield on the helm, in 8:34:09.
