Their requirements are so simple—a good, rich, deep soil and an open, sunny position, if possible—which, however, is not absolutely necessary, as they thrive almost equally as \A ell in a partially shaded position, and a liberal supply of water during their growing season, being sufficient to give an abundance and wealth of flowers which rival the finest Roses in coloring, and produce during their flowering season a gorgeous effect nol equalled by any other flower.
