The satin finish, which is very popular, is executed bymeans of a wire brush, constructed by a patented process. It nicksor scratches the polished surface, producing a frosted effect. There are many other processes which the article must undergobefore completion, which are not named here. Many of the designsare engraved by hand instead of being stamped.
