A frog or a common garden toad, may be used as a type of a vertebrate animal, that is, one with a backbone. Except during the cold winter months frogs may usually be found around ponds or along the banks of streams. In the spring and early summer toads, too, are common around the water where they are breeding. Later in the summer toads may be found in almost any garden, where they can best be collected at dusk. 4.
