The Stone Carving both of the interior and exterior of theNew Palace was executed by the late J. THOMAS. The New Palace Yard FRONT is composed of bays, dividedby boldly projecting square buttresses, terminating, as else-where, in rich pinnacles; this portion of the building is devotedto the official residences of the chief officers of the House ofCommons.
