TheTrustees of the village, of which board he was a member, andthe Trustees of Manlius Academy held meetings, and passedappropriate resolutions of condolence and sorrow, and the vil-lage, €71 masse, poured out their hearts in a. public meeting,expressive of their sympathies and grief. A large committeewas appointed to escort the remains from the rail-road, whichwas amply responded to, and hundreds availed themselves ofthis opportunity to express their regard and respect for thedistinguished dead.
