With approximately 60 active cases and three deaths, the Health Ministry in Gaza has recently announced the extension of the lockdown and other restrictive measures, amid fears that a major outbreak could overwhelm the already crippled health care system in the densely populated Strip. The recent Covid emergency has occurred in Gaza during high tensions with Israel, which has halted fuel imports into Gaza, thus worsening the already severe power crisis and long blackouts in the besieged Palestinian enclave
