Old street sign in Svaneke. Bornholm. Denmark. The street "Brænderigænget" (Distillery Street) features a special attraction - a kind of local sport -, also for tourist: Hen shitting! A hen is placed on a plate (actually enclosed on the pavement) with numbers like a bingo plate. The hen walks a little hither and thither - and then it shits! And of course people are betting on what would be the lucky number for the excrement to land on. The audience can buy a cupon with a number from 1 - 100 and hope for his lucky number to be "drawn". It happens every wednesday and Saturday. The sponsors are the local business owners and clubs.
