The Repository of arts, literature, commerce, manufactures, fashions and politics . a Canzonet, with an Ac-companiment for the Harp or Pi-ano-forte, as sung by Miss Wil-liams of the Kings Concerts, com-posed by John Parry. Pr. Is. 6d.—(Hodsoll, High-Holborn).A little ballad susceptible of muchthe same critical observation as theone preceding. The melody offersno novel feature, but its constructionis regular and proper, and altogethercalculated to form an agreeable ve-hicle for the musical expression ofthe text. Serenely oer the waters darkor Scendi nelpiccol legno, thecelebrated Duet hi the Opera LaDonna del Lago composed byRossini. Pr. Is. Gd.— (Hodsoll,High-Holborn.) The English words to this sweetduet of Rossini chime in pretty wellwith the Italian melody: they arestated to be the work of J. H. Cove,Esq. One or two instances of ex-ception, however, present themselves: over, for instance (p. 5), is scannedo-ver. The music is given at fulllength, with a satisfactory adaptationof the accompaniment for the piano-forte, and the Italian text is addedto the P1OMEKA0E E>RES§
