Panagia Frlambouriani monastery, built on the edge of a rock, south of Merihas, the port of Kythnos island, Cyclades, Greece


Panagia Flambouriani monastery is an important religious monument of Kythnos, one of the less known islands of Cyclades, Greece. Situated on the south west side of the island, near Merihas port and next to Flambouriani beach, is considered a most favorite pilgrimage amongst locals, as according to tradition, traces found going from the beach towards the church is believed that they belonged to the Virgin Mary
