Palermo, Sicily, Italy - 23 September 2019; some tourists in shot. The Cathedral of Monreale is one of the greatest surviving examples of Norman architecture; it was begun in 1174 by William II of Sicily and elevated to the rank of a metropolitan cathedral in 1882. Since 2015 it has become a UNESCO Heritage site. Here we see its beautiful exterior gardens and cloisters.
