The method was simplified in the revision as follows:After washing, the body is sandpapered where neces- sary, such as around repairs, over scratches or wherethe varnish shows cracks; new work is primed. Thelight color is given one coat and the dark color touchedup where necessary to an even base for the next coat,with one coat over new work. Then, after retouching.
