This portrait of a russian soldier was produced by Frank Thiele and located 1995 at the former US Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin´s Friedrichsstrasse. The other site of the lightboc shows an american soldier. It remembers tourists that in the past here was the end of the allied sector and it was only allowed to enter with permission to East Berlin. Berlin is unified since 1990.
