Crimson Clover has become wonderfully popular both for pasture and hay crop, also as a green manure for plowing in. It can be seeded at any time from June to October at the rate of 15 to 20 lbs. per acre, and makes the earliest possible green pasture, blooming the latter part of April or May, and for feeding as hay should be cut just before coming into full bloom. It is a very rank grower, some stools containing as many as 120 to 140 blossoms from one seed. One acre grown at the New Jersey Experimental Station yielded, May 31st, 6,997 pounds of organic matter, 31
