Sunset at Crackington Haven, North Cornwall

Situated between Bude and Boscastle on Cornwall's north (Atlantic) coast, Crackington Haven is a small cove with a stony foreshore, softening out to a sandy beach that is revealed when the tide is out. In rough weather, the wave lash against the stone, making loud cracking sounds, possibly giving rise to the name Crackington.
