Before purchasing this 310-acre farm, Mr. Hiscock took a four-year course of agriculture at theNew York State College of Agriculture at Cornell University. He employs from 5 to 7 men to take care of thelarge orchard and herd of 23 Holsteins, many of which are pure-bred. The dairy is modern in every sense of the word, and well equipped with James fixtures. The floor, of course,is concrete, and the stalls covered with cork. Two large Green Mountain Silos stand at the east end. The milkhouse is equipped with bottling and sterilizing apparatus, for Mr. Hiscock bottles and delivers his own milk. Thebarn, in addition to lightning-rod protection, is equipped with 15 Pyrene extinguishers. A large Leader pneumatic system forces water through the house and barn. A
