A burgonet, Augsburg, end of the 16th century. The skull forged in one piece with a tall comb, the peak and neck protector have turned under edges. Surrounding lining rivets and original blackening with visible hammer marks. The attached cheek pieces with five perforations. The Augsburg city mark (pine cone) and master's mark "M" or "W" on the brim. There is an old repair on the left temple from the period it was in use.
