Governor Nippert served as Prosecuting Attorney of the Police Court of Cincin-nati from 1894 to 1897, by appointment- of Mayor Caldwell, who by a singular co-incidence, had just preceded him in the office of Lieutenant-Grovernor. On May 1, 1902, Lieutenant-Governor Nippert resigned to accept appointmentto the office of Probate Judge of Hamilton county, tendered him by Governor Nash,to fill a vacancy caused by the resignation of Judge Ferris.
