An early 20th century view of Dunmore East, a popular tourist and fishing village in County Waterford, Ireland. Situated on the west side of Waterford Harbour on Ireland's southeastern coast, it lies within the barony of Gaultier (Gáll Tír – "foreigners' land" in Irish), a reference to the influx of Viking and Norman settlers in the area.

This Photo Chrome image was shot around 1900. In the interests of transparency (no pun intended) the image has been cleaned, sharpened and enhanced. The original sky was bleached out and a new sky has been carefully added.
