The Champs Elysees station isgraced on the outside by majestic lions on pedestals, butthese adornments are actually part of the architectural. For the illumina-tion of the station both arc and incandescent lamps areused, the current being taken from the power supplymains. The ticket office of this station is of the same typeas those used throughout. Entrance is obtained by stone rails are used nearly 50 ft. long, weighing 106 lbs. per yard,and for the conductor a third rail, double headed, weighingnearly 79 lbs. The track rails are laid on metal ties 7 \ ins. in length, spaced about 36 ins.
