Recruits with Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, climb over an obstacle during Confidence Course I at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, June 4. The obstacles are used to instill confidence by challenging recruits to overcome their fears. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Aug. 10.
