Wreaths are stood before the Fort Jackson flagpole in preparation for the 9/11 remembrance ceremony held at Centennial Park Sept. 9. The ceremony honored the 2,750 lives lost in World Trade Center, 184 Pentagon personnel, 40 passengers of United Flight 93, 400 first responders who lost their lives, and all the lives lost in the following Global War on Terrorism.
