okusuitei Teahouse Garden - To seek virtue through tea, I want to be like flowing water. The virtue of the Tokumaru district, where the water wheel park is located signifies that water that is indispensable for life and the culture of tea ceremony or Chanoyu. Once we examine ever-changing fresh water, the human heart becomes calm. The teahouse was named "Tokusuitei" because of both this way of looking at the existence of water and also its location. The former Akatsuka village, where this park is located, is on land with historic associations. The restored watermill is a reproduction of the scenery of paddy rice cultivation that was once done in this area. The Japanese garden at water wheel park was completed after that, and the nearby tea room Tokusuitei named after the name of this area. The theme of the garden is "Clear stream and its blessings nurtured in the local forest". It is a pond spring strolling garden that makes use of the remnants of the Maedanizu River. A stone garden was built in front of the entrance of Tokusuitei.
