On the shore of the lake is thefine new building of the Colonial Club, one of the most exclu-sive clubs maintained by Grand Rapids society. There arebenches scattered here and there along the lake shore infront of the pavilion, the building itself being upon a smallelevation. To the east of the pavilion is a small concertgarden conducted by private parties, where vaudeville showsare held. Several social clubs also have fine homes at theresort. All parts of the grounds are open and no admission. Grand Rapids Railway—Pavilion and Boat House at North Park. the middle west and a large picnic ground. Boating, bathingand fishing are among the attractions offered. The grounds of the railway company are located on thenorth shore of Reeds lake, which is about 1% miles longand 1 mile wide. In the rear of the grounds is Fisk lake,about \<z mile across in either direction. The two lakes areconnected by a small channel. On the other side of Reedslake is Manhattan beach, a bathing and picnic resort, notcontrolled by the railway company, which is reached by twosteamers and electric launches. The pavilion at Ramona is practically new. having been whatever is charged to the resort. Xo liquor is sold on thegrounds and the village council strictly enforces the Sundayliquor law in the whole village. To the south of Ramona pavilion is the railway companyslarge baseball park.
