An article bearing the foregoing title, and written by Mr. Carl Sulzer, ap-pears in the issue of the Journal of the German Engineers Association (Zeit-schrift des Vcrcincs dcutscher Ingenieure) for July 27, 1907. It is too long to bereproduced in The Locomotive in full, but we have thought that some accountof its contents would be of interest. Mr. Sulzer is a well-known German.
