The especialduties of a Prince of the Tabernacle are to labor incessantly forthe glory of God, the honor of his country, and the happiness ofhis brethren ; to offer up thanks and prayer.* to the Deity in lieuof sacrifices of flesh and PRINCE OF THE TABERNACLE. THE TWENTY-FOURTH GRADE OF THE ANCIENT ANDACCEPTED SCOTTISH RITE, AND THE SIXTH DEGREE OFTHE HISTORICAL AND PHILOSOPHICAL SERIES. THE COURT—ITS DECORATIONS, ETC. The Hall consists of two apartments. The first, whichis the smaller, adjoins the second, and is called the Ves-tibule, where the brethren clothe themselves. It is fur-nished at all points like a Master Masons Lodge, exceptthat instead of a printed Bible, a roll of parchment, rep-resenting the Book of the Law, lies on the altar, uponthe Book of Constitutions; and that the letter > is sus-pended in the East, instead of the G. The second apartment is furnished in every respectlike the principal apartment in the 23d degree, withthese additions: In the East is suspended the Pentagram, or BlazingStar, in the following shape, of vermilion, illuminatedas a transparency: 350 BOOK OF THE A. AND A. EITE.
