Monorail at Darling Harbour Sydney, New South Wales, Australia


The Metro Monorail (originally Sydney Monorail) is a single-loop Von Roll MkIII monorail that connects Darling Harbour, Chinatown and the Sydney central business and shopping districts. There are eight stations on km of track, with four trains operating at once. Major attractions and facilities such as the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney Aquarium and Sydney Exhibition Centre are served. It was opened by transport group TNT in July 1988 during the Bicentenary. It is operated for Metro Transport Sydney by Veolia
